Akesson
Björn Akesson was born in 1986, in a town called Lund (southern Sweden). He first noticed electronic music in the middle of the 90es when he heard music from a videogame called Wipeout 2097. With artists such as Future Sound of London, The, Prodigy, The and Orbital the interest grew. A few years later a friend from school introduced Björn to trance/club music. This sounded a lot better and much more interesting than the techno he heard before.
In early 2003 Bjorn teamed up with his fellow swedish producer Dréas for a collab. The track was called Dréas pres. Havannah - Havannah. Havannah was played by some of the worlds top DJs - Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen, and Thrillseekers, just to name a few!
After this collaboration Bjorn continued making his own tunes and few years later he luanched the Akesson project which made a big impact on Above & Beyonds radioshow Trance Around The World.
In early 2008 the track Perfect Blue was introduced to the world as Tune Of The Week by Armin van Buuren on his huge radioshow A State Of Trance. Both Sunchaser and Perfect Blue was very well recieved by the trance community and appeared on several big compilations mixed by world class DJs and released by huge recordcompanies such as Sony BGM, EMI and Ministry Of Sound.
Today you can find Bjorn on his way out to the clubs allover europe making his epic DJ apperances. So keep an eye out!
